Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke stated the club will welcome the return of Shinji Kagawa with open arms when the Japanese midfielder left Manchester United.

Kagawa joined Dortmund to Old Trafford in 2012, but he struggled to meet the high expectations in his first season in the Premier League.

Kagawa recently stated keinginnnya back to Dortmund at a later time, and Watzke stated that the attacking midfielder will always be welcome in Signal Uduna Park.

“The door is always open for Shinji. Transfer is not an issue at this time,” said Watzke told Bild.

Kagawa contract with United still in effect until the summer of 2016, but his agent, Thomas Kroth, said his client did not immediately leave.

“For now I hope Shinji survive at Manchester United. However, you never know what’s going on in football,” Kroth said.

While the future of Wayne Rooney continues to be associated with Chelsea, David Moyes confirmed that it will play a player who was ‘upset’ when against AIK in Stockholm next month.
“I hope Wayne is located in Stockholm,” said the successor to Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United legend.
“As far as I know he would join, he has started practicing jogging, the situation continues to improve,” said Moyes.
About Chelsea who kept trying to get the British star, back Moyes insists Rooney is not for sale.
“We have insisted he was not for sale and it has not changed”.

It may be the height of the baseball season, but for 40 high school football teams and 800 skilled position players, Oliver Ames High School in Easton, was ground zero last Sunday, for the Under Armour 7v7 Northeast Regional (South section) passing competition.

The tournament, which was formally known as the Swampscott/Lynnfield 7 on 7 Shootout, has been sponsored by the popular sports clothing and equipment giant, Under Armour, for the last eight years and has grown to include 120 high school teams in the Northeast Region.

The other venues in the North East are Exeter (N.H).High School and Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody.

Tournament Director, Steve Dembowski, believes the partnership with Under Armour has taken the tournament to a whole new level.

“This passing tournament is incredibly popular in the South,” said Dembowski. “It has really started to take off in the North East. We were completely sold out this year.

“The tournament began as a way to get high school teammates together in the summer to compete.  Our mission is to help all involved; players get to work on team concepts, coaches get to see the development of their players and everybody has a blast!”

A number of local area teams were well represented including teams from Braintree, Marshfield, Duxbury, Whitman-Hanson, Cardinal Spellman, Catholic Memorial and last summer’s champs from Franklin High School.

“This was an easy sell for our guys,” said Braintree head coach Brian Chamberlain, who is only an observer at the competition. Volunteers coach the teams and each team has a 20-man rosters. Each player pays $20 to participate in the competition.

And best of all, Under Armour provides two compression shirts, a pair of black shorts and other surprises for each athlete.

“The competition is excellent and for myself and our coaching staff, we get a chance to see the guys in competition. It’s a great environment.”

The Wamps were competing for the first time and impressed the third-year coach in their opening game against Framingham High School.

“I believe we have significantly upgraded our team at the skilled positions. Our tight end, Derek Anson, is looking really good,” said Chamberlain. “Anson has put a lot of time and effort in the off- season and it is paying huge dividends. He is poised for a big season.”

The Sectional finalists (South, North and East) along with the wild card selections will compete for the North East Regional title on Tuesday, July 30 at Bishop Fenwick High School. The competition begins at 5 p.m., and continues until completion around 10 p.m.

“I love the competition,” said Rockland resident and Cardinal Spellman senior Austin Joseph.

“My presence will be different at United, I can run fast and play ball,” said Bolt.

Real Madrid has confirmed that promising youngster Jese Rodriguez has signed a new contract with the Santiago Bernabeu side until the summer of 2017.

The Spain Under-20 star’s previous deal was due to expire in 2014 and the attacker recently hinted at a potential transfer elsewhere in order to bolster his chances of first-team football; however, Jese has now ended all speculation about his future by inking a four-year extension with Madrid.

“Real Madrid announce that Jese has extended his contract, by which he will remain with the club for the next four seasons,” a statement on the club’s official website reads.

The versatile attacker is seen as one of the biggest talents to have come through the ranks of the Madrid youth academy in recent years and made his official first team debut in December 2011.

Jese impressed with Real Madrid Castilla in the Segunda Division in 2012-13, netting 22 goals to beat club legend Emilio Butragueno’s record for goals scored in one season with the youth side.

He was also one of Spain’s brightest stars at the recent U-20 World Cup, bagging five goals in five appearances, including a brace against the United States.
